Speaking Circles
What are Speaking Circles?
Speaking Circles® was developed by Lee Glickstein. They’re small groups that offer a unique and gentle approach to public speaking training that’s easy on the nervous system and allows us to access our most authentic voice.
Instead of focusing on performance and presentation, like a lot of other public speaking trainings do, Speaking Circles® focus more on developing Relational Presence, which allows a natural connection with the listeners to arise. Speaking from stillness gives us a greater opportunity to access our authentic voice, and what we really have to say can emerge with gentle invitation rather than forced excavation.
A lot of people come to Speaking Circles® for public speaking training and end up experiencing profound personal transformations that affect all areas of their lives.
The Relational Presence approach in Speaking Circles® is especially beneficial to people with stage fright. That’s how I got into it. I was TERRIFIED of speaking in front of even small groups at a dinner table. One night in Speaking Circles changed everything.
“I really enjoyed my session with Julia! She’s a skilled teacher and the Speaking Circles exercises that she guided me through immediately improved my public speaking skills. 10 out of 10!” -Leonard C.
